Update and District Camp news

District Camp: Numbers for the District Camp are now overdue, you should have received a text from your child’s leader about this. Can you please reply either way, whether you have returned the attached form or not. Forms and money are required on Tues/Weds please. More details about the camp are below.

Easter Egg Hunt: Unfortunately, due to work being carried out at Barrwood Campsite, The Easter Egg hunt due to take place on 29 March has had to be cancelled.

District Commissioner visit: Beavers will be having a visit from our District Commissioner on Wednesday 12 March.  Most of the children will have met Anne previously at District events, she will be visiting to see how we are getting along.

District Bag Pack: We have been let down by the supermarket where the District Bag Pack was due to take place on 22 March, and this will not be going ahead at that time. District are looking to try and get a further date in April or September instead. Any parent who works in a local supermarket and can help us arrange this type of fundraiser should speak to one of the Leaders please.

District Camp Information: This year the Clackmannanshire District Scout Camp is moving to Fordell Firs, just outside Dunfermline (KY11 7HQ / www.fordellfirs.org.uk). This means that we will be much better placed to camp together as a District, and have access to a wide variety of instructor led activities. The camp will be 16-18 May 2014.

Information below includes the cost of the camp, but this may decrease! We have applied to the Scottish Development Grants Board for funding to cover the activities for this camp. We hope to find out if we have been successful by mid-March, in which case your child’s Leader will be in touch with amended cost information.
